My role in these stories is just as an observer. I either pulled the plug on the life support or played a very minor role in the successful outcomes of these horses. The survival and success may have been a numbers game. The body's ability to cure itself is tremendous. I get credit, as do many “healers,” for things that are more a product of time, a good immune system, or pure chance, or maybe it really is divine intervention.
